Creating Exceptional Smiles
Dr. Sam Frank loves helping people develop exceptional smiles: smiles filled with health and confidence. Dr. Frank understands that no two people and no two smiles are alike. He focuses on each person’s unique clinical and personal concerns, creating tailored care plans. By using the best orthodontic techniques, and emphasizing timeliness, he ensures patients achieve their best smiles.
Dr. Frank has been practicing orthodontics for more than 30 years. He is honored to now be creating smiles for the children of some of his first patients. With his gentle, attentive approach, and his warm and friendly nature, he makes each patient feel at home. He enjoys getting to know patients on a personal level, learning about their lives and hearing about their achievements. Seeing patients about once a month means Dr. Frank is able to build strong relationships. He loves watching each person mature and gain self-esteem and confidence during treatment.
Education and Continuing Education
- Undergraduate studies, University of Louisville
- Doctorate of Dental Medicine, University of Louisville Dental School
- Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics, University of Oklahoma
In 1994, Dr. Frank became a Diplomate with the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). This is a distinction earned by less than 30% of orthodontists, nationwide. In order to achieve it, Dr. Frank completed many hours of continuing education. He then took an exhaustive exam and presented completed treatments for critical review by a board of national examiners.
Dr. Frank is committed to providing his patients with leading-edge care, using advanced techniques and technology. By taking continuing orthodontic education courses, and attending meetings, seminars, and lectures, Dr. Frank remains current on developments in the field.
In addition to being a Diplimate with the ABO, Dr. Frank is an active member of the Western Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Frank and his wife, Karen, have three children. Their oldest daughter, Jessica, and her husband Troy, have two young children, Sydney Megan and Grayson Ryan. The couple’s son, Eli, works in the practice, making retainers for patients. And their youngest daughter, Lucy, fills in at the front desk when she’s at home and needed. Lucy is a professional dancer and is often on cruise ships. She’s also spent summers in Alaska, working as a zipline tour guide and transportation specialist for helicopter tours.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Frank can often be found in his garage, working on his motorcycles, or out riding. But his favorite times are spent with his family, especially the grandchildren!
